About

My name is Amanda Sjodin, and I am the artist behind Made Wild Designs. I am currently based out of the Sandhills of North Carolina, but I've been lucky enough to take inspiration from the gulf coast as well as the southwest since starting this journey in 2019. I have enjoyed creating things my entire life, whether it be through painting, 3d modeling, digital design, or woodworking. However, I have found a real passion in silversmithing.
I have a degree in Digital Media as well as Natural Resources, and I benefit from both experiences. I learned a lot about myself as an artist through Digital Media, but my love for the outdoors and conservation is where I find my inspiration. I am an avid hiker, caver, and lover of wildlife, and I see the wilderness in the pieces I create. Sometimes it shows through the colors of the stones. Other times I see it in the textures of the metal.
I also take inspiration from those around me. I have the most amazing, adventurous little girl, a talented and inspiring husband, and a rambunctious, 100lb flat-coated retriever who thinks he's a lap dog. I continue to grow as an artist through their love and support.
